Shorter days and longer shadows

With the shorter days and less time after work to photograph this time of year, I thought it might be fun to post this image from last November’s Photography at the Summit Workshop in Jackson Hole, WY.  On a morning when many of my fellow photography students were busy photographing elk over 100 yards away, I found this wildlife a little closer to the road and within reach of my 24-70mm f/2.8 Nikor lens.
