This week has brought forth all the early pastels in the landscape again. Signs of spring are abundant and I caught this Viburnum x bodnantense ‘Charles Lamont’ bursting forth its pink display after two days of temperatures in the 50s. Of the Bodnant viburnums, this is my favorite; its colorful flowers are larger and more intensely fragrant than others. Helleborus x foetidus is attracting its pollinators and the earliest bees are buzzing around the tommy crocus. So while it’s raining heavily today, I’m enjoying what the rain and warmer temperatures are bringing to us… signs of renewal and pastel colors in the landscape again.
